Terms of Use
Effective October 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of Alpstrack (the iOS and Android apps and the web app at app.alpstrack.com, the "Service") and your purchase of an Alpstrack Pro subscription. The Service is operated by Alpstrack, 20 Boulevard du Général Dessaix, 74200 Thonon-les-Bains, France ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms.
Mountain safety
Mountain activities are dangerous. Maps, routes, weather forecasts, avalanche bulletins, field reports, heat maps and every other piece of information in the Service are provided for guidance only: they may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and they never replace your own judgement, official sources, appropriate training and equipment, or a qualified guide. You alone decide whether and how to go out, and you are responsible for your own safety and that of the people with you.
Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple and must give accurate information. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time: see how to delete your account. How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.
Content you post
You keep the rights to the routes, activities, comments, photos and field reports you post, and you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share them within the Service according to the visibility you choose. Don't post anything unlawful, misleading, offensive, or that infringes someone else's rights; we may remove such content and suspend accounts that break these terms.
Alpstrack Pro
Alpstrack Pro is a subscription that unlocks additional features (such as offline maps, weather nowcasts and heat maps). Plans, prices and what each one includes are shown before you buy. Pro is tied to your Alpstrack account, so it is available on every platform where you sign in with that account.
- On iPhone or Android, you buy Pro through the App Store or Google Play; payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, from your store account's subscription settings.
- On the web, you buy Pro from us; payment is processed by our payment providers RevenueCat and Stripe. Prices are shown including any applicable VAT, and you receive a receipt by email.
Renewal and cancellation
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price, unless you cancel it before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time: a subscription bought on the web is managed from Profile > Alpstrack Pro in the app, or from the link in your purchase receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it for a limited time, after which Pro ends. We will tell you in advance of any price change, which only applies from your next renewal.
Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)
When you buy Pro on the web, you expressly request that the Service be provided immediately, and you acknowledge that you therefore lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once Pro is activated on your account. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow Apple's or Google's refund policies. If something went wrong with a web purchase, contact support@alpstrack.com and we'll look at it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate but can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free; parts of it rely on third-party data (map providers, Météo-France, community sources) that we don't control. We may change or discontinue features. If we remove a Pro feature in a way that materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel, and we will refund the unused part of a web subscription on request.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for any harm arising from relying on information in the Service (see Mountain safety). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email before they take effect; if you don't agree, you can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
